Hamas is a jihad group that kills innocent people “in the way of Allah,” as do all jihadists. It is stated in Hamas’ “Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement” that Israel must be obliterated. That’s because Israel remains the single unconquered nation in the vast Middle East, the rest of which was conquered by means of bloody jihad long ago.
Human Rights Watch decried the death penalty given to these two Gazans as “a barbaric practice that has no place in the modern world.” Yet Human Rights Watch compares Hamas’ actions to every country that has the death penalty, which is misleading. What makes Hamas barbaric is its complete disregard for human rights. The details of what the two executed Gazans actually did is not discussed in the article below, beyond the accusation of “collaboration with Israel.” Hamas has a record not only of murdering innocent Israelis, but also of abusing Palestinians.
Although it was reported that “those executions, condemned by the United Nations Human Rights Office, were the first in the coastal territory in more than five years,“ in a very similar case last September which was reported by the Associated Press, two Gazan men, both members of the Palestinian security forces, were killed by firing squad, and another three were hanged at dawn at a security site in Gaza City, once again for “collaborating” with Israel.
Human Rights Watch presented a report to the United Nations last year stating that Hamas and the Palestinian Authority were killing and “systematically mistreating and torturing Palestinians in detention, including critics and opponents.” The report also indicated that the abuses may amount to crimes against humanity. And it’s no secret that the Palestinian government is often exonerated by international bodies, as the world turns a blind eye to what their mission against Israel is really about.
“Hamas sentences 2 Gazans to death, 4 to hard labor over ‘collaboration’ with Israel,” Times of Israel, April 3, 2023:
A military court in the Gaza Strip on Monday convicted six people of “collaboration” with Israel, sentencing two of them to death.
The court said in a statement that the death sentences would be carried out “one by firing squad and the other by hanging.”
It added the four others were handed “life sentences with hard labor,” which in Gaza amounts to 25 years.
Those convicted were not identified by officials in the Strip, which has been run by the terror group Hamas since 2007, nor were details of their cases published…..
The New York-based group Human Rights Watch decried the death penalty at the time as “a barbaric practice that has no place in the modern world.”
